Doris Lessing

"Writing is probably like a scientist thinking about some scientific problem, or an engineer about an engineering problem."

~ Doris Lessing
I think this quote is kind of on the right page but it is still not right. A true writer never looks at a writing assignment and says "How can i solve this problem?" a true writer would want to create something new and interesting. So yes they are somewhat like a scientist, but not a scientist that solves problems. A scientist that invents.
